SCRAPPAGE SCHEMES & RECYCLING

Recently several window companies have started to advertise Scrappage Schemes for windows. They offer the consumer a discount for taking their old windows away and recycling them if they have energy saving windows installed.  Often in the small print you will see that this is percentage based on orders over a certain value. The consumer is confused. They think that the advertisements they have seen are for a National Scrappage scheme which is Government sponsored. There is no such thing as a Government Scrappage Scheme for windows at the moment.

Unlike some companies, we do not increase our retail price to include a discount to the consumer for ‘Recycling’ or ‘Scrappage Schemes’.  We have been trading for over 36 years in the South West and have always been honest with our customers.  We give them our best and most competitive price from the outset without any extra ‘gimmicks’ apart from genuine offers.  The only true price is the bottom line and we know that is what you want from us.

Here at Launa Windows we realise that we must make PVCu windows sustainable.  We have become increasingly concerned about environmental issues and we have worked hard to introduce a recycling policy to minimise and lower the carbon footprint of all our products.  We are committed to responsibly recycling our manufacturing and consumer waste after installation and to buying British rather than using the Far East.

Rest assured; Launa Windows intends to look after our Planet as well as our customers.  We will continue to address energy deficit and reduce our climate change impact by supporting the four R’s.  This is to reduce the use of Resources, Re-use products, Recycle and Recover what cannot be recycled by using the material in other ways.  We are continually investing capital in the production of our PVCu Windows to ensure that we help you, the consumer to cut down on your carbon footprint, reduce the costs of your heating bills by saving energy whilst maintaining our position and reputation in the Double Glazing Market for our quality and price.
