Triple Glazing

  • Bringing you the most energy-efficient glazing on the market, triple glazing offers you optimal heat retention so you never have to feel cold indoors again. Triple glazing is similar to double glazing but includes more pocket of insulative gas and another glass pane to further prevent heat transfer.

Maximising modern technology with state-of-the-art innovation, our triple glazing provides you with a balanced temperature in your home, lower energy bills, and a condensation-free world. The impact of triple glazing is a worldwide affair. In the colder climates of Scandinavia, they predominantly utilise triple glazing for heat retention. The extra windowpane works wonders at preserving your home’s own heat.

Triple glazing is a stylish installation, as well as a practical one. Select your favourite window frame material and finish for a result you will truly love, whether elegant, unique, or understated.

Common Questions

Does triple glazing make a difference?

Triple glazing remains the most insulative option you can choose, so you will find a significant difference when you upgrade from double or single glazing. The U-value, which represents heat loss, should be as low as possible. Triple glazing tends to have a U-value of 0.6, in comparison to the U-values of 1.2 and 2 for double and single glazing respectively. A 0.6 U-value is one of the lowest you will find, meaning you should expect to save on your bills as heat will stay within your home much better.

It is important to note, however, that period properties are often predisposed to more draughts than your usual modern build. With this in mind, these issues should be solved prior to triple glazing installation.

How long does triple glazing last?

Factors such as weather, location and maintenance can all affect the longevity of your triple glazing. Regardless, we guarantee they last for at least a decade, if not several. We give an estimate of 20 years as the usual standard, but there are several cases where triple glazing has lasted up to 35 years. As the decades go, some small degradation will begin to occur.

Looking after your triple glazing is easy. Just make sure to regularly wipe down the frames to remove any dirt or debris that may have landed on your windows.

Is it worth replacing double glazing for triple glazing?

Although triple glazing is more insulative than double glazing is, it is probably best to replace when your double glazing is showing signs of ageing. For example, if it is struggling to insulate then you may want to upgrade them to triple glazed. On other hand, we strongly suggest triple (or double) glazing if your current windows are only single-glazed. This is because single glazing simply does not offer many insulative properties.

Rural areas benefit from triple glazing especially, as the temperatures drop lower than in urban areas at nighttime. Triple glazing can be extremely effective for you and your home and will increase the value of your property too.

What is the difference between double and triple glazing?

Layers of glass combined with dense gas are found in both double and triple glazing. These panes hold heat-insulating gas to prevent draughts and condensation forming.
However, triple glazing gives you an additional third windowpane within the frame and therefore an additional gap of gas to protect you from heat escaping. Triple glazing guarantees quality insulation but does require much thicker glass. For those who want to keep their window glass thinner, double glazing may be a better option.
